Keoladeo National Park Timings
For tourists interested in photography, it is advisable to reach the park by 6 am when the crowd is the least. The park is open all seven days a week from sunrise till sunset. A guide can be hired to provide information on the wildlife resources. Bicycles and rickshaws are available to take visitors inside the park.
How to Reach
The Keoladeo National Park is about 90 kilometers from Firozabad city and the nearest airports are Delhi and Jaipur. The nearest railway station is the Bharatpur junction which is located about 5 kilometers away from the national park. Bharatpur is also connected via very well maintained roads and tourists can also take their own vehicles and taxis to the park.
Ranthambore National park
Located in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, the Ranthambore National Park covers an area of more than thirteen hundred square kilometres and is considered as a world famous reserve forest for tigers. A large number of tourists from all over the country as well as all over the world flock to the sanctuary for its rich flora and fauna and also to catch a glimse of the royal animal in their natural habitat.
Apart for being famous for its tigers, the reserve forest is home to a large variety of trees, aquatic plants, birds and other mammals like porcupines, jackals, wild boar, sloth bear, leopards, jungle cats, marsh crocodiles or gharials, wild boars, mongoose to name a few. The park is also noted for its incredible natural beauty enhanced by very old banyan trees, dhok, pipal etc, creating the evergreen belts.

- Safari tours are available for tourists to explore the park. Mainly two types of safaris are available.
- Jeep safari is considered the best mode to explore the park. These can be hired by small groups or individual families and chances of viewing wildlife is considered better using this mode
- Canter safari is arranged in a maximum twenty seater bus and is another way to take a trip of the park.
- Permits are available at the park entry point for visitors
Entry and exit timings for visitors vary according to the season. During winters the morning entry time is late and evening exit time is early. A morning trip time is generally from 6 to 10:30 am and evening trip from 2 to 7:00 pm.
Best Time to Visit
The park remains open for visitors on all days of the week during from 1st October to 30th June. The park remains closed for the rest of the year.
How to Reach
The nearest airport is Jaipur which is about a four hours drive from the park. A number of bus services are also available from Firozabad. Sawai Madhopur is the nearest railway station and trains are available from Delhi. Sawai Madhopur is the nearest township which is well connected to cities like Delhi, Agra, Firozabad by well maintained roadways.
